IZE Seminyak | Bali #4

. May 07, 2017 .
We spent one wild and wonderful night in Seminyak during our two week trip to Bali last month. Putting us up for the stay were the lovely folks at Lifestyle Retreats at their IZE Seminyak property. Located right in the heart of bustling Seminyak and just a stones throw from my favoruite nightclub/ bar in Bali, it was the perfect spot for the 24hrs we had in the area.

A refreshing contemporary clean vibe throughout, it was fun to mix it up from the traditional Balinese villas we'd been staying in. The hotel houses two pools, including one gorgeous rooftop one where I spent a relaxing morning lazily nursing my hangover and couldn't have picked a better spot for it. Up high there was a light breeze and shade, making it the perfect chill spot – not to mention the fully stocked bar ready to meet your beverage needs (hair of the dog anyone? Ahem.)

Our room echoed the slick and fresh design present throughout the rest of the hotel and featured a spacious bathroom, balcony, mini bar and lounge area. Perfect for our quick one night stay but also roomy enough for spending a few days in Seminyak too.

The hotel also has a brilliant restaurant called Meja, located right on the strip where we enjoyed (several) cocktails before heading out to the other local bars. Even if you don't stay, it's worth popping in here for a well-priced tasty cocktail – go for the lychee martini and thank me later. Breakfast here the next morning was also incredible. One of the best buffets from the trip, there were so many delicious things on offer, from fresh fruits to pastries and my fave, bread and butter pudding slices in addition to eggs, pancakes, waffles and other hot breakfasts cooked fresh to your liking!

From here we could easily access Seminyak's many boutiques and cute cafés for a morning of exploring, before making the short 15-minute walk to the famous Potato Head beach club where we spent the remainder of our day. As I said – the perfect location for a lovely stay in Seminyak! Thanks to Lifestyle Retreats for having us. For booking, visit their website here
