16 things I managed to pull off in 2016

. January 05, 2017 .
First up, Happy New Year guys! I hope you all had a lovely break over Christmas and New Year and are feeling refreshed and ready for 2017. I on the other hand, am not feeling so fresh – whether it's the amount of prosecco I managed to sink on New Years Eve, the mince pies or the cold weather, I've come down with that god awful flu that's going around and am writing this from under my duvet in bed. Not the kickstart I ideally wanted to 2017, of course now it's all about new goals and resolutions and back to werk werk werk!

And whilst I have my little list of goals and accomplishments I'm aiming to reach this year (more on that in my next post), I think before setting out what we need to improve in ourselves it's important to recognise all the good stuff we've already accomplished. It's easy to point out flaws or think about how much better things could be, but looking back on the past year you'll see how much you've done and how far you've come. From minor achievements to smashing major goals, here's my highlights of 2016.

1. This little old blog went from my favourite hobby into my full time job!

2. I travelled to more places in one year than I ever have before

3. Attended fashion shows at London and Paris fashion weeks

4. Started my Youtube channel

5. Covered an international music festival and had the craziest four days in Benicassim

6. Shot professional campaigns with some of the UK's leading fashion brands

7. Thanks to an amazing personal trainer, I FINALLY got myself back in the gym and learned to love exercise.

8. Had some CBT sessions and improved my struggles with anxiety

9.  Did yoga at 225ft over the City of London

10. By some miracle, I graduated from the London College of Fashion with an upper second class degree in Fashion Journalism alongside running my blog business!

11.  I ran off the top of a mountain in Turkey and went paragliding over Oloudeniz beach with Med Sailors.

12. Fangirled over Anna Wintour as we rubbed shoulders during afternoon tea at Le Bristol Paris

13. Made new friends from all corners of the world

14. Got taken on a helicopter ride over the Greek Island of Mykonos as part of an amazing press stay at Zinas Villas

15. Very much conquered my fear of flying

16. Went stateside for the first time in 6 years and had a blast discovering New York City for a week (and deciding I'll probably be moving there).

Hope you enjoyed this recap of my 2016 best bits. It's thanks to my readers I was able to do half of these amazing things so a huge thanks to you lot too. I hope this inspires you to look back on your 2016 acheivements – I'd love to hear some of your best bits below!
