Mikonos

. May 25, 2016 .

My little hiatus on here wasn't planned, the last few weeks have been crazy busy and I didn't want to compromise the quality of my content here with rushed posts. The day before leaving for Mykonos, I handed in my last ever bit of university work which of course has been a huge weight off my shoulders – not that it's really sunk in yet.

After some celebratory cocktails with course mates, it was straight to meetings and store appointments to get final bits organised for Gemma and I's trip to Greece and come 3am the next morning our taxi to Gatwick was ready and waiting. Being back on my favourite Greek island was so wonderful, it was pretty go-go-go (a working holiday, as we called it), but a gorgeous time none the less. In between countless shoots and filming, we squeezed in some beach time, caught some rays, sampled some amazing Greek cuisine and even a martini-fuelled night out! Waking up and coming back each evening to the beautiful suites at the Bill & Coo hotel only made the trip more perfect too.

I've got 1000+ photos to sort through but honestly can't wait to share with you plenty of summery looks, my island guide, reviews and some photo diaries from beautiful Mykonos. Today I'm kicking off the Mykonos series with a look from our first night on the island, and it's all about this Tularosa helix dress from my favourite US site Revolve. I actually chose it before any of my upcoming trips abroad had been confirmed but knew I had to save it for somewhere special, and warm, preferably.

Naturally, when it came to getting ready for our first night out in Mykonos town, I couldn't wait to slip into it. For me, it's the ultimate holiday dress and I've had so many compliments about it. Now for the exciting bit – what's great for you guys, is that until 8am on the 27th Revolve are offering a whole 20% off to all UK customers by entering code 'TAKE20' at the checkout! You guys have also been going crazy for the on my Instagram which you can also find at Revolve here.

As I mentioned, Revolve is one of my favourite US sites, in addition to their own brands such as Tularosa and Lovers + Friends (my faves), they also stock stunning collections from designers like For Love & Lemons and Self Portrait too. The site is inundated with so many gorgeous summer pieces right now so do go and have a browse, especially if you've got a wedding, graduation or special trip coming up – I'd love to hear what you pick! Stay tuned for plenty more Greek goodness coming your way soon.

Monsoon jacket | Levi's jeans | Dorothy Perkins shirt
Forever 21 bag | Topshop shoes | Sunglasses | Asos bangle

Killing time in Topshop Oxford Circus a couple of weeks back, I wandered around the shoe lounge and sitting there in all their perfect-shoe glory were these bad boys. It was certainly love at first shoe-sight – never had I ever seen such a perfect designer-esque dupe. Along with the rest of the blogosphere, I'd admired the coveted Chanel sling back that's been doing the rounds on the street style circuit over the passed few seasons since I first saw them on the feet of Chiara Ferragni in Paris. But alas, they're incredibly hard to get a hold of and would have made a serious dent in my current account.

Fortunately, these satin and leather mary-janes by Topshop are the next best thing. Elegant, comfortable and if I hadn't told you, you wouldn't know they're from the good old British high street. They also come in gorgeous blossom pink and navy colour ways, and at just £62, they won't break the bank either.

I love love love how they look with the distressed hems of my Levi's, I find pairing ladylike pieces with something a little ragged is always a good way to balance a look. Keeping the tones in line with the shoes, I went for this summery grey striped shirt by DP and my trusty navy military blazer by Monsoon. My new F21 mini black bag is also another recent dupe triumph – so similar to the Alexander Wang Rocco and just £16!

I'm a true believer that you don't have to spend a small fortune to look stylish, especially when you can find affordable pieces like this on the high street for a fraction of the price – I hope you enjoy these finds as much as I do.
