First of The Summer Dresses

. April 26, 2016 .

Lovers + Friends dress via Revolve* | Asos belt | Zara flats (sold out, similar here)

I'm probably jumping the gun here, but these few sunny days we've been graced with recently have put me in such a summery mood. So when it was all blue skies on shooting day, I couldn't let this special starry number burn a hole in my wardrobe any longer.  I first spotted it on Aimee Song and her sister Dani whilst they were at SXSW and knew instantly it was the perfect summer dress for festivals, barbeques and holidays a plenty. Plus, the long sleeves make it transitional enough to wear right now.

Beautiful as it would look with a fedora and vintage leather, for a sunny day in the city I kept it chic and simple with some pointed flats and a western waist belt to break up the print slightly. Stars have been something we've seen a lot of during A/W seasons recently, but I think printed on a soft grey hue like this fabric it can work wonderfully in the spring and summer seasons too. This print also comes in a floaty maxi and off the shoulder style too, so whatever length you love in summer there's plenty of options for you. I do though, absolutely love the skater style silhouette of this floaty mini as it's so flattering for my shape and I feel so ready to dance into this summer's festivals.

Hope you enjoyed this little taste of summery looks on SC, let me know your thoughts below.
