Sunday brought an intimate presentation held in Amanda Wakely's Ablemarle street store. I think this was one of my favourite parts of this London Fashion Week, being able to get up close and personal with the AW15 collection meant I could really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the garments.

I'm starting to prefer presentations because of this, being able to take in the details an take better shots, and especially when they're as well done as Amanda Wakely's. There were four sets of models wearing pieces curated so perfectly in coordination hues. Key pieces for me were the luxe knitwear and textures, from layering woollen coats and trousers to embellished beaded details and carefully crafted fabrics. A small but solid collection for Autumn Winter, let me know what you think below.

Never did I think I'd see the day I wore flares, but come my Miss Selfridge fitting last week, I fell a little head over heels for these 70's style dungarees. Embracing the era, it was flares to fedora's and a sassy coat thrown in for good measure; day one's 70's look was all about one of the season's biggest trends.

In the run up to fashion week, I'm definitely all about laid back looks. The last few days have been all about comfort for me, so I hope you enjoy this casual look before the LFW madness begins!

I may be jumping the gun, it is only February after all. But when the sun decided to really show it's face yesterday I couldn't help myself, it was on with a dress. And actually, I wasn't even cold at all! It looks gorgeous outside this morning as well, and I'm praying it sticks around for fashion week. But, knowing our typical British luck, Somerset House will be a wet mess by Friday. See more below.

You could say I've got grey on the brain, and I don't just mean Christian. I've been coveting these awesome marl-y pieces lately as grey is such a go-to transitional shade. So for the next in my Valentines series I've collated some pretty grey things in honour of the movie release today. I expect I'll be dragging my boyfriend along to see it this weekend, much to his dismay. Failing that, I'll treat myself to one of these pretty pieces. Happy shopping loves!

50 Shades of Grey | Valentines series #5

Valentines is the best excuse to treat yourself to something pretty in the underwear/ nightwear department. I'm a sucker for fancy knickers and pretty panties, so of course I had to take full advantage of this romantic time of year. I always tend to go for something pretty and feminine rather than racy or revealing, so this Valentines I've opted for this gorgeous 'Lipstick' pink camisole and French knicker set by Playful promises, see more below.

A Valentines outfit is always one of my favourites. Whether you have a special date night planned or you're off out with the girls, it's a great excuse to get your glad rags on. This year I've gone with a LBD from Motel with a romantic sweetheart neckline, sheer paneling and motif's to make it that little bit more special. See more below...

The written love letter is a lost art. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I've always found the notion of pouring out feelings on pen and paper absolutely fascinating. I've teamed up with Smythson to celebrate the art of hand written letters this Valentines and I've hand written one of my favourite poems by George Elliot. I discovered it in Love Letters of Great Men, vol 2 Poems, a beautiful little book I pinched of my flatmate Lizzy. Full the likes of William Blake and Lord Byron, it truly is a wonderful collection of love poetry.

So, rather than write a love letter of my own, I had a Big from Sex and The City moment and chose to hand write one of my favourites. When I do so much online and trying from a keypad, taking the time to write on a piece of paper is a luxury, and honestly quite theraputic. And, as you've probably seen from my instagram, I'm a bit of a notebook and journal fiend so it's about time I start filling them with things like this. Smythson have a wonderful collection of leather diarys, so if you fancy writing something romantic for yourself or a loved one this Valentines, be sure to check them out.

Hope you enjoyed this post as part of my Valentines series and I hope I've inspired you to put pen to paper!

This is a sponsored post by Smythson. All thoughts are my own.

Kicking off my Valentine's series, this first instalment is my date night makeup look with Rodial. Makeup is definitely a pivotal part of a Valentines look, and finding the balance between enhancing your best features and masking them or looking a bit overdone can sometimes be a bit tricky. I think it's important to feel good but also look slightly effortless on a date, natural beauty is key! This Valentine's I've opted for a soft, glowing makeup look with the help of these beautiful new Rodial products, click below to see more.

Earlier this week I was kindly invited by iconic denim brand Replay to see La Roux at the sold out  gig at Camden's Koko venue as part of their new partnership with NME. I had such an amazing night, the performance was incredible and I was kitted out head to toe in some awesome pieces from their new season collection. Click below to see what I got up to!

There's something so sumptuious about slouchy knits that I just love. Comfy and cosy yet they have an effortlessly stylish air about them, perfect for this not-quite-spring time of year. I'm so happy with these images Lizzy and I shot in Chelsea, I hope you enjoy them, see more below!

On our way back from shooting in Chelsea yesterday, my friend and flatmate Lizzy and I found ourselves in the plethora of beauty that is the Anthropologie Kings Road store. Full of eclectically unique pieces, I'd happily move straight in if they'd let me. Here's some things we picked up for our apartment, they were just too pretty not to share.

If you know me, you know I love the French. I love the language, Paris, the food (good God the food) and of course the fashion. Perhap's I've been getting too stuck into Caroline de Maigret's book lately, but I thought it was about time to put a Parisian spring in my step with the most effortlessly classic breton tee.
