LFW DAY 5

. September 28, 2015 .

The last day of LFW was another drizzly one. However I only had one show and Christopher Raeburn was well worth the trip out on to the wet streets of London...

Despite it's 40 minute late start, I really enjoyed the collection and didn't mind pushing my lunch meeting back a little. Afterwards, full of inspiration from the streets of LFW, I spent the afternoon picking up some pieces for my AW wardrobe - stay tuned for lot's of AW looks coming this way.

Raeburn's signature utilitarian vibes were again present for SS16. Using reconstructed materials and crinkly cream silks inspired by jungle territory and the female explorer. A bold emphasis on more feminine silhouettes through dresses and skirts uncovered an undone, unconstrained look that both reconciled and challenged ideas of masculine and feminine - staying true to the Christopher Raeburn label. What's great about this collection is that not only did it take inspiration from the jungle but has sustainability at the heart of the brand, re-imagining parachute fabrics in olives, blues, blacks and whites. A solid end to this LFW season!
