Skinny Bitch Collective x Swimwear 365

. June 17, 2015 .

Swimwear 365 are never ones to fail when it comes to putting on a memorable event. Last year they treated me to an incredible spa day and there’s an upcoming party hosted at the VIP Moet terrace at the Maddison that I’m so looking forward too - but what I’m writing about today isn’t so much of a glamorous affair, but that’s not to say it wasn’t brilliant. A couple weeks back I headed down to the Skinny Bitch Collective studios for the workout to end all other workouts. Read more below.

To say I’ve slacked on my fitness lately is an understatement, so to say this class really took it out of me is an understatement. For some reason I’d envisioned a room full of giggling bloggers bouncing around to dance music, totally not prepared for what was next at 7AM on a Friday. Don’t get me wrong - there was dance music, but with the Skinny Bitch Collective’s celebrity personal trainer Russell, there is absolutely no time to mess around. In at the deep end, we were straight into action, planks, jumping jacks and run-crawling across the floor, I think I emptied my Swimwear 365 personalised water bottle within the first 10 minutes! Hard as it all was, I was so surprised at how far I could push myself (given my current crappy level of fitness) and yes, that is me actually managing those upside down wall kicks.

It’s probably one of the hardest thing’s I’ve done fitness-wise, but it has so kicked my ass into gear. I’ve gone from zero exercise to doing Yoga everyday and running whenever I find the time, and the feeling once we’d finished the class was unbeatable. That and the fact we were rewarded with a delicious healthy breakfast to take away from The Natural Kitchen as well as personalised Swimwear 365 bags filled with a lovely selection of beauty treats.

Huge thanks to Swimwear 365, Russell from SBC and Soph from Label PR for having me and putting on such a great event.
