Countryside Dreaming

. June 16, 2015 .

I've always been a city girl, just last year I would have taken London's mayhem over a quiet weekend in the countryside any day. Recently however, I've fallen a little in love with tranquil, vast open fields and flowers in bloom. And, after living in London for a couple of years now, the peace and quite is a welcome change. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not about to retreat into the middle of nowhere for good, just learning to appreciate the countryside a little more - and with backdrops like this who can blame me?

Motel dress* | Whistles necklace

I'm really lucky that Dave lives practically next to this field. As soon as I spotted this sea of yellow from his bedroom window I knew I would drag him down there with my 5D to shoot this dress. I've had it for a little while now but it's so gorgeous I wanted to save it for something special and of course, this beautiful setting is just that.

The dress is by Motel and one of my favourite items hanging in my wardrobe at the moment. I love it's simplicity but the pretty detailing of the flute sleeves and lace-up neckline give it a little 70's vibe which I'm all about this season. It also comes in black here, a little more sultry and perfect for festival-wear.

In other news I've finally handed in the last of my university work for this term today and feel like summer has officially started. I can't wait to travel and get my blogging game back on, I have a very exciting trip to Amsterdam coming up with my babes from Fashion Chick that I can't wait to tell you more about! Until next time loves - enjoy the sunshine! x
