More From Milan | Jimmy Choo & Tod's

. October 08, 2014 .

Our second day in Milan was just as impressive as the first, from Jimmy Choo to Tod’s followed by a swift change and Costume National cocktail party. Hectic? Yes. Incredible? Most definitely. Click below for more…

I should probably address the fact this is quite delayed, and apologize for my brief absence. Whilst I was away it was very much all systems go, with unreliable wifi and since I’ve been back I haven’t really stopped. I wanted to do each of my fashion week posts justice, so now I have a minute to catch my breath… here goes!

We started day two at Jimmy Choo, in heels of course. I was wearing this gorgeous deep red two-piece from Missguided, so paired it with my Snakeskin effect pumps from Daniel Footwear. Jimmy Choo’s creative director, Sandra Choi, definitely pulled out all the stops for SS15. From heavily tribal influenced pieces with bold zebra prints, statement heels with bright yellows and purples to decadent flat styles to signature styles elevated with extra embellishments for SS15. Being the mule fiend that I am, my favourite styles were the mint and zebra stiletto and the Perspex mirror-heeled dusky pink mule, though there was definitely something for everyone in this fun and eclectic collection.

Next up was the Tod’s private viewing held in their beautiful show space at Palestro in Milan. I’d already seen some snaps from the show the day before, so was really excited to get up close and personal with the collection. And when I say the venue was beautiful, I mean it was stunning. So light, fresh and clean –just have a look at the photo above of Lizzy and where she’s sat, so pretty. The collection itself was equally as breathtaking. In true Tod’s style, leather was the main element, even being used in pieces of jewellery, but that’s not to say it wasn’t supremely ladylike. With it’s intricate lazer-cut detailing and feminine silhouettes combined with floral prints, Alessandra Facchinetti has created an extra-luxe Tod’s girl for SS15.

Into my second outfit of the day, we finished the evening at the super-fun cocktail party hosted by Costume National at their flagship store in Milan. Safe to say we had sore heads the next morning, but well worth it for an amazing night. Stay tuned for tomorrows post featuring my outfit for this event!
