Little Mistress dress* | Jefferey Campbell Litas | Whistles clutch (sale)

This dress has been burning a hole in my wardrobe for a little while now and I finally got the excuse to wear it out on the weekend during a trip home to Bristol. These were taken when it was a little dark so the graininess doesnt really do the seaqins justice, but this dress is a sparkly blue dream. It features an art deco/ aztec type pattern which I love and when you walk the beads and sequins catch the light beautifully when you walk. The only pair of heels I had at home were these Lita's which I completely forgot I had! But I love the way they look with this dress, although they're a boot I think they actually elongate the leg because they're a nude pink.
I'm having a manic week as per, but I'm looking forward to the weekend as it's Dave's birthday on Sunday so I'll be spending a couple of days at his. Enjoy the rest of your week ladies!

Oh My Love dogtooth jumpsuit* | New Look mohair coat (available in cream) | American Apparel mesh dress (worn as top) | Primark necklace & boots

My final look for the Oh My Love student edit, and I think this is my favourite of the 3 pieces! My wonderful course mate Alex took these again for me in between lectures last week. It was such a miserable day (hence the questionable hair) but we managed to get a few good shots in the rain. Ever since buying my silk green jumpsuit from Topshop for Fashion Week I've kind of had a thing for them and this dogtooth monochrome piece is perfect for AW. I got the next size up for a slouchy fit which I love- especially with the dungaree-style cut, it's also so comfortable, perfect for sitting in lectures! I paired it with my American Apparel mesh dress that I recently picked up from the Shoreditch outlet- definitely worth a look if you're a fan of AA.
Another new addition is my New Look baby pink dream, or as my flatmate more aptly calls it my 'Princess Coat.' It sold out online so quickly, but I had my heart set on it so one day after Uni I went to Westfield to find one sole size 14 that no matter how much I wanted it to just didn't look right on me! A very helpful sales assistant (obviously seeing the sheer despair on my face) did a search to see if there were any in another local New Look... and there was one size 10 left in London, so I promptly legged it to the Marble Arch store and snatched it up! It's as warm and soft as it looks, but is also quite lightweight which makes it great for layering.
I hope you enjoyed my looks for Oh My Love, I've absolutely loved styling them, be sure you check them out to see the other awesome stuff they have in at the moment!

Oh My Love Student Edit #3: On Campus

For SS14 Volcom is celebrating an iconic balance of punk nihilism meets zen. The collection features a mix of coral and pastel hues and vintage denim with a vibrant 80's vibe. One of my favorite looks is the Space galaxy print which you can see on the swimwear above- a must for SS14 escapes in the sun!
The Bench collection for Women 2014 is a technically inspired range designed for city living. Bringing us an array of geometric, floral and camo print designs and sugary pastels offset with monochrome and colour blocking. I'm also loving their current collaboration with Stooki to produce Artist Series Tees, featuring geometric, graphic prints inspired by 'Sound, vision and play.'
A fairly new brand also showing at the Canoe press day was Afends. The collection featured some really cool peices with flannel tartan shirts and acid wash denim- also how awesome is that wink tee?!
Puma showcased new lines from both their Tropicalia and Opulence collections and I've fallen totally in love with the palm print pieces. Inspired by Brazillian culture the Tropicalia collection features an Iconic tropical print across a number of their designs- I can't get enough of those palm printed coral ones!
Native Union have produced a hand crafted iPhone case featuring solid cherry wood. Each and every case is different and has its own unique wood grain, I've got the white one (of course) and I've had so many compliments- it's really something different and makes for a beautiful case.

I hope you've enjoyed my favorite picks from the day! Be sure to check out the websites for more :)

Nike Roshe Runs via JD* | Zara coat | Vintage DKNY jumper

I wore this on Sunday on a trip to Carnaby St with my flatmate Iole, who did a fabulous job of taking these photos I might add! My Nike's arrived last week and oh my god I am in love. Not only are they like walking on air but are so breathtaking beautiful I nearly cried unboxing them. I really love dressing down outfits with Nikes, and especially how they look with long line blazers and coats- it's like Roshe's and my Zara jacket were made for each other! After a bit of shopping and outfit snapping we headed to a lovely little bar and shared the most delicious Mezze platter and bottle of wine for just £19! I've forgotten the name of it of course but it's the one opposite Cirque De Sois club - I actually went there too also last Friday, and what a night that was. I have so many photos ready to edit and post but I don't know where my time is going at the moment, so stay tuned and have a fabulous weekend!

A first Uni outfit post. One of my lovely course mates Alex shot these for me on our lunch break, he also had a blog so please check him out! We took these during that rare but gorgeous moment of October sun last week, something I'm sorely missing now as the rain is hitting my window.
Now I don't think I've mentioned this before but I do actually wear glasses for distance, and had been after a new pair for a while, so perfect timing from My Optique! London Retro have just launched their new 'Metropolitan' collection, taking inspiration from the London Underground with 17 styles each with two colour ways and priced at just £79. I opted for the 'Nancy' frames which are made out of a gorgeous tortoise shell with flecks of blue in, they've also got an anti-reflective coating which means there's no glare when you wear them, ideal when you're a fashion blogger.
This jumper I've had for years, since back when I was 16 and working part-time for River Island, but it's become a staple part of my winter wardrobe. As always I paired it with something high-waisted and my new brogues from New Look. I picked them up last week as I don't actually seem to own a comfortable pair of shoes bar my Nikes (post coming soon!) so decided to treat myself to these shiny berry toned beauties.
It's getting to that press-day time of year again and I've been to a couple and have Zatchels next week and the Boohoo #Dressmas party in November, who will I see there?!

On Wednesday I went along to a talk at the Topshop Edited space to celebrate the launch of Phaidon's The Fashion Book, 2nd addition, hosted by Show Studio's fashion editor Lou Stoppard along with milliner Stephen Jones, Somerset House fashion curator Shonagh Marshall and Central St Martins' Heather Sproat.
Featuring 500 entries, The Fashion Book is essentially a who's who in the industry, the ultimate fashionista's reference guide. It's an important tool for up and coming fashion creatives who want to work in the industry, as we were told by Stephen Jones 'You can't create in fashion without knowing the past.'
As we sipped on strawberry Mojitios and nibbled on sweet treats, the panel touched on the importance of the role the Internet plays in fashion today, something that's changed the industry dramatically since the first edition of The Fashion Book was published in 1988. They also talked about how London is a great place to study fashion and for up and coming designers (lucky me), Shonagh fittingly talked about New Gen with Topshop and the support from the British Fashion Council whilst Heather Sproat said why London fashion colleges are so great 'as London attracts such a vast pool of talent' and how you aren't just learning from the lecturers but from the creative people around you.
I picked up my own copy at the end of the night which came with a tote and print of the cover, signed by the illustrator! I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're studying fashion, I've only managed to flick through a few pages so far but for now it's taking pride of place on my shelf.
